The Faculty of Liberal Arts offers knowledge on sustainable food production. They aim to apply this knowledge to practice sustainable food production, which includes reducing costs and producing safe food for consumption. Their efforts also focus on protecting the health of the general public. Assistant Professor Kitisak Chumthong, a lecturer in the Social Sciences program, leads this initiative. The project involves collaboration between faculty members from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya. Their goal is to develop careers in growing vegetables using an organic system for the elderly in urban communities. This initiative aims to create food security at the household level and is based at the Enterprise Learning Center in the Elderly Organic Farming Community in Ban Han Subdistrict, Bang Klam District, Songkhla Province
In 2022, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya had a total of 4,405 undergraduate degree graduates and 8 master’s degree graduates. These individuals studied in programs related to sustainable food within the faculties of Agriculture, Agro-Industry, and Liberal Arts. Specifically, there were 465 graduates in the Bachelor’s degree program in Food and Nutrition, accounting for 10.58% of all undergraduate degree graduates. As for the Master’s degree program, there were 2 graduates.
