On Thursday, December 15, 2022, Assistant Professor Apinya Wanichphan, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus, Thung Yai District, was invited to serve as a lecturer to provide knowledge to a group of farmers as part of the ‘Developing Prosperous Farmers (Smart Farmer) Project’ with a focus on enhancing their knowledge and skills in agricultural product processing. This training program was organized by the District Agricultural Office in Thung Yai, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Mr. Chaiyapong Thananchai, the head of the Nabaon District Agricultural Office, represented Thung Yai District and presided over the project’s opening ceremony.
The local farmers from Sub-District Ku Hrae expressed the need to establish a community-based curry paste production group. The team of instructors provided guidance, advice, and the necessary steps and processes to ensure the stable and efficient establishment of the community curry paste production group. The process began with planning, working steps, and strengths and weaknesses analysis, and culminated in the formation of the community curry paste production group of Group 6 in Hu Hrae Sub-District. Participation in this project enabled the farmers to gain insights into the practices involved in setting up a curry paste production group in Ku Hrae Sub-District. The aforementioned project took place at the community hall of Group 6 in Ku Hrae Sub-District, Thung Yai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.
