Details (English):

During November 8-9, 2022, Professor Dr. Suwat Tanyaros, the President, led a team of researchers from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya to submit their work to participate in the community innovation competition for sustainable development. This competition was held under the theme of “Community Innovation for Sustainable Development” for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, focusing on grassroots economics and innovative communities. The event took place at S31 Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok and was organized by the Research Management Unit for Area Development (RMU-AD). During this event, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya selected 9 outstanding works across 3 categories of competition: Strong Community Innovation, Ready-to-Use Innovation, and Skilled Community Innovators. These works were the results of 3 research projects that received research funding in the 2020-2021 fiscal year, and the university was honored with a total of 7 awards as follow:

“Popular Vote Award” in the Exhibition category and “Honorable Mention” in the Community Innovation category for the project titled “Community Innovation: Spa Clay, Local Culture and Natural Salt Pond, Hot Spring, Stone Well, and Farm Stay.” The project was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Thanin Sangkhaduang, the head of the research project.

“Honorable Mention” in the Ready-to-Use Innovation category for the project titled “Innovation: Automatic Coffee Roaster for the Community.” The project was led by Associate Professor Vorapong Boonchuaytaen, the head of the research project.

“Honorable Mention” in the Ready-to-Use Innovation category for the project titled “Innovation: Real-Time Salinity Monitoring for Water Security in Rice Farming.” The project was led by Dr. Nattapol Kaewthong, the head of the research project.

“Good Level” award in the Ready-to-Use Innovation category for the project titled “Innovation: Management for Added Value of Three-Spotted Tilapia.” The project was led by Assistant Professor Thanwit Namsai and Assistant Professor Kosin Teparakpan, the heads of the research project.

“Honorable Mention” award in the Community Innovation category for the project titled “Community Innovation: Resource Conservation for Sustainable Community Benefits,” led by Associate Professor Dr. Chatree Homkrao, the head of the research project.

“Excellent Level” award in the Community Innovation category for the project titled “Community Innovation: Sustainable Community Resource Conservation for Community Benefits,” led by Assistant Professor Jittharat Romyen, the head of the research project.
