University in collaboration with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), has established a research center to promote the cultivation and processing of sea grapes (Caulerpa lentillifera) in an organic manner, creating sustainable livelihoods for coastal communities. Under the “Research for Community” project, the university is actively involved in the dissemination of knowledge regarding the organic cultivation of sea grapes, as well as the development of sea grape products to boost the local economy.

            the current economic situation in Thailand, the university has emphasized the development of agricultural products, especially sea grapes, which are highly nutritious and versatile, with significant market demand. Sea grapes of the Caulerpa genus are in high demand both domestically and internationally. Sea grapes, including Caulerpa lentillifera, offer great potential for cultivation, transformation into consumer products, and market acceptance for export to enhance income for local communities.             The project has been dedicated to the promotion of sea grape farming and the organic cultivation of sea grapes. During this initiative, the team has worked with local communities to develop and expand the sea grape farming industry. university stated that they aimed to provide practical knowledge on organic sea grape farming and the production of value-added sea grape products.
