Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla, Khanom, and Trang visited the Songkhla Lake area to prepare for water management for agriculture using IoT together with public participation processes.

Research project on water management for agriculture using IoT in conjunction with the public participation process in the Sathing Phra Peninsula area, Songkhla Province, led by Dr. Natthaphon Kaewthong (research project leader) along with professors from the Faculty of Engineering, College of Industrial Technology and Management, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology went out to survey the area to find locations to install salinity measuring buoys and randomly measure the depth in Songkhla Lake, Songkhla Province, totaling 10 locations, along with collecting water samples to analyze for various values.

In addition, to develop and install automatic water quality and salinity meters covering the entire area of Songkhla Lake, as well as study and analyze salinity values in various areas of Songkhla Lake to use as guidelines for water management in the future and for planning the cultivation of agricultural areas in the Sathing Phra Peninsula.

By establishing a public sector network to participate in water management in the Sathing Phra Peninsula area and creating a model to use a decision support system for planning crop cultivation in the prototype area to serve as an example of water management. It receives budget support from the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC).
