Kittopob Roddon, the Thung Song Sheriff, assumed the role of President and inaugurated workshop training initiatives aimed at fostering the conservation of local birds, reviving traditional artistic and cultural practices, and promoting development in the “Conservation Activities, Local Birds Revitalization, Thung Song District.”
Dr. Prasert Nonthakarn, a lecturer at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya’s Faculty of Science and Technology, played a pivotal role in a comprehensive event. Alongside his collaborators, he delivered an enlightening lecture titled “Biodiversity: Local Birds in Thung Song District.” Furthermore, Dr. Nonthakarn and his team actively participated in a captivating local bird photo exhibition, fostering awareness and appreciation for the rich avian diversity in the Thung Song District.

The primary goals include enhancing local community awareness of the importance of conserving and rejuvenating indigenous bird species in Thung Song District. Another objective is to inspire youth, residents, and children to actively engage in sustained bird conservation efforts. Furthermore, the initiative seeks to foster an understanding of how both indigenous populations and wildlife can coexist harmoniously.

Of the 50 participants, each individual exhibited a profound understanding of the advantages and importance of biodiversity, demonstrating a shared commitment to preserving native species. Their collective dedication reflects a united effort to ensure the continued growth of Thung Song as a green and environmentally conscious city. This engagement fosters a sense of responsibility towards the region’s ecological well-being.
