Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, has implemented the “University to Tambon” (U2T for BCG) project. Within the framework of this initiative, pay a salary to students working in collaboration with the local communities.
The outcomes of this project are multifaceted, encompassing:
1. The diversification and enhancement of food product offerings, ensuring that they conform to established quality standards. The project leverages state-of-the-art packaging technology to extend the shelf life of these products, thus contributing to their overall quality by maintaining rigorous quality control measures throughout the production process. Consequently, the products meet the requisite product standards.
2. The development of marketing channels, achieved through the provision of training and knowledge-sharing within the local communities. This empowerment is geared towards diversifying the distribution channels, ultimately bolstering the income of the community members.
Incorporating the principles of Sustainable Development Goal 1 (SDG 1), which is centered on the eradication of poverty, this initiative serves as a catalyst for socioeconomic improvement. By empowering local communities with the capacity to expand their product offerings and marketing channels, the project actively contributes to alleviating poverty and fostering financial independence.
