Topic: Self-management perception of people’s network in Songkhla municipality towards air pollution

Development of Songkhla Municipality People’s Network air pollution self-management perspectives. The research team has developed a warning system for air pollution in Songkhla municipality of 6 locations that collects data every 2 minutes and displays the results to the LINE app twice a day, at 8:00 AM and 4.00 PM, when people live outside.

The Songkhla Municipality Air Pollution Surveillance Network, tourists, and locals use the air pollution warning system for self-awareness and to reduce air pollution-related problems. We aim to reduce air pollution-related ocular, vascular, skin, and respiratory problems in Songkhla Municipality. We have successfully established a network of people’s participation through air pollution surveillance networks in all 5 communities, taking into account the apparent indicators of alertness and essentiality. People are willing to monitor air pollution.

Most networks believe a combined committee of communities, authorities, and organisations should monitor air pollution to coordinate. This network monitors air pollution and informs communities when it’s high and harmful. The Air Pollution Surveillance Network Group employs the community broadcast tower in every neighbourhood to announce uncommon events as the earliest and most accessible alert.
