The research results on “Utilizing Coarse Soursop Extracts for Pest Control” conducted under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornsil Seephueak have led to a practical training program titled ” The utilization of soursop extraction for preventing and eradicating pathogens causing diseases in the soil”. This event took place on August 4, 2022 at department of Plant Science, faculty of Agriculture, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.
There were 30 individuals from the Community Cooperative Group in Tha Khaam Subdistrict, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, participating in the event.The training participants gained knowledge on the benefits of using soursop for pest control and plant disease prevention to reduce the use of chemicals. They also recognized the significance of conserving biodiversity through the reduction of harmful chemical usage. Furthermore, they were trained in the process of soursop extraction using 70% ethanol through a hot extraction method.

September 4, 2022, SME Thakham, Hat Yai, Songkhla. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornsil Seephuek, the head of the project, provided soursop extraction products, including soursop extract solution, dehydrated soursop leaf powder, and compressed soursop leaf powder, to durian farmers. She encouraged them to utilize these products for pest control, with the aim of fostering sustainable agriculture and conserving the biodiversity of soil-dwelling creatures, beneficial insects, and microorganisms.
