Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) has implemented an operational and budget plan for the fiscal year 2022, spanning from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023. The budget allocation for Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya for the fiscal year 2022, totaling 171,765,622 Baht. A significant portion of the budget, 103,291,602 Baht, is dedicated to research activities, highlighting the university’s commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation through scientific inquiry. This substantial investment in research underlines the university’s strategic focus on enhancing its academic reputation and fostering academic excellence.

In addition to research, the university allocates 55,226,770 Baht for academic services, which includes 20,297,954 Baht specifically for general academic services and 34,928,816 Baht for the establishment of an academic service network. This investment aims to enhance the university’s outreach and collaborative efforts with external communities. Furthermore, 13,247,250 Baht is designated for the creation of new entrepreneurs and businesses, indicating the university’s dedication to promoting entrepreneurship and contributing to local economic development. Overall, this budget allocation reflects a holistic approach to education, research, and community engagement, aligning with the institution’s mission to serve society and foster sustainable growth (see in table 1)

For the fiscal year 2023, covering October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024, RUTS has set an operational and budget plan totaling 150,991,080 THB. This plan incorporates a review of key results (KRs) and goal-level indicators according to the higher education grouping criteria. These indicators, comprising 18 metrics, are used to assess performance under the fiscal year 2023 operational and budget plan and are organized across four mission areas: (1) Education Management, (2) Research Development, (3) Organizational Management, and (4) Distinctive Transformation to Position RUTS for Change. Detailed budget allocations are outlined as follows (see in table2)

The budget allocation for the fiscal year 2023 for Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya totals 150,991,080 baht. This budget is divided into various project categories aimed at enhancing academic services, promoting cultural initiatives, and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the southern region of Thailand. The first category focuses on academic and creative cultural services, which receives significant funding to support initiatives in multiple districts of Songkhla and Nakhon Si Thammarat. This allocation aims to enhance local cultural engagement and facilitate community-based projects, thereby contributing to Sustainable Development: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which promotes inclusive and sustainable urbanization and capacity for participatory planning and management.

The second category emphasizes, the development of technology and innovations and boost entrepreneurial capacities across the same regions. This initiative, which has a substantial budget allocation, aims to create a conducive environment for emerging businesses and enhance the skills of local entrepreneurs. By investing in technological advancements and innovative practices, the university aims to improve the competitiveness of local industries and support sustainable economic growth, directly addressing: Decent Work and Economic Growth. Furthermore, there is an additional focus on creating new businesses, which highlights the university’s commitment to fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that can drive regional development. Additionally, the emphasis on community engagement and cultural initiatives supports: Quality Education, ensuring that educational opportunities are available to all and fostering lifelong learning. Overall, this budget reflects a strategic approach to integrating education, technology, and community development, aligning with the university’s goals for fostering economic and cultural growth in the region while contributing to the broader sustainable development agenda.
