The research team led by Assistant Professor Dr. Nomjit Kaewthai Andre, head of the research project “Research and Development of Products from Cotton Seed 62 Brown Rice with Nutritional and Medicinal Properties,” along with Dr. Pitiphat Butrakot, head of sub-project 3, and team members including Assistant Professor Suwichak Hanthirawijit, Assistant Professor Sarunpong Nuyimsaik, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ririsara Imphaprasert from the Faculty of Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, visited Nam Maiphai Subdistrict, Thungsong District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province to transfer technology for producing Germinated Brown Rice Variety Cotton Seed 62, health products from germinated brown rice, and health beverages for the elderly.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Dechapon Khaokhumphai, the chairman of the opening ceremony. The target participants included community enterprise groups from Ban Nong Kha Samakkhi in Khao Ro Subdistrict and groups from the chemical-free agriculture community enterprise in Nam Maiphai Subdistrict, Thungsong District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

This activity garnered significant interest from local farmers as they gained knowledge and understanding of the process of adding value to Germinated Brown Rice Variety Cotton Seed through various product transformations while maintaining its rich nutritional value.
