Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) is committed to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its policy on campus farming, which promotes hands-on agricultural education. Following this policy, RMUTSV teaches students in its Agriculture faculty practical farming techniques to prepare them for real-world applications. In line with these goals, students from the Animal Science Program, part of the Agricultural Science Department, participated in the 6th Rajamangala Agricultural Skills Competition. Held at Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok, Chantaburi campus, on February 14-15, 2023, the competition brought together agricultural students from across the country. RMUTSV students demonstrated their expertise in various skills related to animal science, showcasing the effectiveness of the university’s emphasis on sustainable, practical education.

The achievements of RMUTSV’s students at the competition reflect the university’s commitment to excellence in agricultural education and sustainability. They earned several awards, including third place in feed formula calculations, animal science equipment identification, dairy cow milking, and egg candling skills. Additionally, they won first place in the central category of presentation skills, further highlighting their comprehensive understanding of agricultural science. These accomplishments align with the Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education (SDG 4), sustainable agriculture (SDG 2), and life on land (SDG 15). Through promoting hands-on training in sustainable farming and animal husbandry, RMUTSV emphasizes the importance of preserving biodiversity and practicing responsible land use, both critical to SDG 15. By supporting students’ skill development in sustainable farming practices, RMUTSV reinforces its dedication to fostering graduates who are prepared to contribute to sustainable agricultural systems and ecosystem preservation. Through active participation in events like this, RMUTSV advances its role in promoting sustainable development and preparing the next generation of agricultural leaders to prioritize biodiversity alongside agriculture.
