The university has implemented the RUTS MOOC system, which is an online learning format open to the general public for free. It offers a diverse range of learning content across various fields, such as business administration, general education, innovation and communication technology, engineering and technology, architecture, and many other disciplines. Learners can access the content and instructional videos online through the website https://mooc.rmutsv.ac.th/.

Students can study on RUTS MOOC at their convenience and within a flexible learning system that can be tailored to individual needs. The MOOC includes testing and exercises to monitor progress in learning. There are certificates of expertise available in the chosen field to aid in career development and enhance expertise in various areas that require staying up-to-date and adapting to lifelong changes.

On February 27 to March 1, 2023, the College of Hospitality and Tourism at RMUT Trang organized a training program to enhance the capacity of coastal tourism coordinators (Co-Tourism Service Providers) to reach professional standards. The event was inaugurated by Asst. Prof. Piyapat Chuain, Deputy Director for Student Development at the College of Hospitality and Tourism, at Thumrin Thana Hotel in Mueang District, Trang Province. Led by Project Manager Siripunyakorn Kraithap and her team, the workshop attracted tourism business operators and interested students for practical training aimed at applying acquired knowledge to advance their tourism businesses.

Expert speakers included Phinyo Tengrang, former Operations Director at Thumrin Thana Hotel; Priyaporn Kwannimit, Human Resources Manager; Komate Kaewkue, Rooms Manager; and Dr. Dusitporn Hoktha, Lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism.

Participants also visited tourism training facilities at Thumrin Thana Hotel and RMUT Trang’s College of Hospitality and Tourism, including the Panya Anusorn Conference Room, Spa and Massage Center, and Housekeeping Laboratory. The program concluded with knowledge exchange sessions among participants to facilitate the development and application of acquired skills in their tourism businesses. This knowledge-sharing aims to help participants uplift their communities to meet professional standards, providing exceptional service that increases customer satisfaction and, ultimately, revenue.

Asst. Prof. Faphilai Thaveesinsopa, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, appointed Dr. Jatuporn Hoktha, Deputy Director of Administration and Planning, to preside over the opening of the “Professional Bartender Training Workshop.” This workshop is part of a project aimed at driving the creative economy through innovation and technology for sustainable marine tourism development. Special guest speakers included Mr. Thanapon Jindamanee from BIT Cafe and Mr. Chayanan Chayolar from Lion’s Tale Trang, who shared their expertise with participants, including restaurant and beverage business owners, educators, and individuals interested in bartending, as well as internal staff and students.

The workshop provided hands-on practice for participants, along with opportunities for knowledge exchange to enable them to apply their skills in improving service and tourism standards professionally. This training aims to help attendees enhance their services, increasing professionalism and future income potential in the tourism and service sectors.
