On Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the activity area on the 5th floor of Central Hatyai, Assistant Professor Piya Prasongchan, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, as the project supervisor for the workshop and media creation competition titled “Energy for Conservation,” stated that Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, through the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, received funding from the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund for the fiscal year 2022. The event was organized to provide details about the project, aiming to enhance awareness of information and entertainment while building skills and experience in mass communication. The activities included a TED Talk on the topic “Ways to Conserve Energy.”
Assistant Professor Udom Namsen, Vice President and representative of the President of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, stated that the university places great importance on energy conservation in various forms and the use of renewable energy, focusing on educating students and emphasizing research. This project is significant for raising awareness among the general public, students, and learners about different forms of energy.
Mr. Patthomphong Kaewbandit, Director of the National Broadcasting Television Station (NBT) in Songkhla Province, mentioned that, as a media representative, he plays a role in creating public relations content and encouraging youth to produce viral clips that promote awareness and understanding of energy, benefiting society.
Assistant Professor Patthira Klinleka, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology and project organizer, invited high school and university students to participate in a viral clip competition under the theme “Know the Value, Love, and Understand Energy.” The activity consists of two rounds: in the first round, interested participants submit their works in the form of a storyboard (2–3 minutes) and an introduction video of themselves/team (30 seconds to 1 minute) to the project coordinators for selection by the judges. The submission deadline is Friday, June 16, 2023, with the results for 20 selected teams announced on June 26, 2023. These teams will then participate in a workshop on July 8–9, 2023, lasting two days and one night, featuring training by professional instructors in mass communication and related fields.
