The research team from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, (SRA, Yala Province) collaborated with the research team from Rajabhat University (OM.4: Agriculture and Crafts for Urban Communities) as follows: A total of 179 poor households in 4 subdistricts of Krong Pinang District, Yala Province, have been engaged in preparing quality soil for elevated vegetable gardening using knowledge acquired from the technology transfer. Mr. Yongyut Nichalanon, the District Chief of Krong Pinang, has been continuously monitoring and providing support for the project. The research team has trained innovators from poor households in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of the disc sprinkler irrigation system and the automatic soil moisture control system. This technology is applied to enhance the capability of elevated vegetable gardening to produce high-quality crops. The innovations derived from this research can significantly assist low-income farmers in utilizing these advancements to increase their productivity. This increase in output can lead to higher income levels, thereby enhancing their overall economic stability. Furthermore, the sustainable practices promoted by these innovations not only improve agricultural yields but also contribute to the long-term viability of farming operations, ensuring that farmers can maintain their livelihoods for years to come.
