Details:

In 2023, the university undertook improvements to its aquarium building, which serves as a visitor attraction on campus. This enhancement involved replacing the existing roof with a solar power system. The upgrade significantly improved the building’s electrical efficiency, resulting in energy savings and a reduced reliance on external electricity sources through the installation of a grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) system on the rooftop, along with a 150 kW_p capacitor. This initiative is projected to reduce carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions by approximately 83,850 kg per year.
