The Faculty of Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, organized the “100 Light (Horay-Hrai)” Exhibition – a creative initiative that transformed Songkhla Old Town into a living public space of art, culture, and community connection. The event illuminated Nong Chik Road with light, color, and design, reflecting the fusion of modern creativity and cultural heritage. Through collaboration between the city, local communities, and the university, the project revitalized the Old Town area as a platform for public participation, art, craft, and creative learning.

Event Highlights:
- Fashion Show: Showcasing cultural heritage through creative fashion design by Young Designers.
- Art and Craft Exhibition: Supporting local artisans and preserving traditional crafts through contemporary reinterpretation.
- Metaverse Experience & Immersive Art: Promoting innovation and accessibility to heritage through digital media.

The project activated Nong Chik Road as a creative public space where residents, students, and visitors could interact, share experiences, and participate in cultural expression.
By transforming the streets of Songkhla Old Town into a venue for art, fashion, and performance, the initiative enhanced the social vitality, inclusivity, and safety of the area while fostering a sense of community ownership and pride.

The initiative supports the preservation of cultural and intangible heritage, including local crafts, traditional architecture, and Southern Thai folk songs, by integrating them into creative works and fashion design.

This collaboration between the university, local artisans, and community networks strengthens the continuity of heritage knowledge, ensuring it remains relevant for future generations.
The 100 Light (Horay-Hrai) exhibition thus serves as a model for sustainable cultural revitalization, bridging education, art, and community engagement to reinforce Songkhla Old Town’s identity as a Creative and Living Heritage City of Southern Thailand.
