RUTS Khanom Campus hosts Specialized Electrical Standards Workshop and Awards Scholarships
On March 14, 2024, the Department of Electrical Engineering under the Program of Electrical Engineering, College of Industrial Technology and Management, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV), Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus (Khanom Area), conducted a professional training activity.
The event, titled “Regulations and Standards for Equipment Installation in Electrical Distribution and Transmission Systems,” was organized in collaboration with Asefa Public Company Limited and included the presentation of scholarships to participating students.
The initiative was spearheaded by Assistant Professor Dr. Arkom Laksana-sakul, Head of the Electrical Engineering Program, and Mr. Santi Kareesan, as the project coordinators.
Mr. Thaweesak Sripunga, Director of the College of Industrial Technology and Management, RUTS Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus (Khanom Area), presided over the opening ceremony and welcomed Mr. Thanakarn Pla-loy, Manager of the Learning and Development Center Department at Asefa PCL, who served as the lecturer for the session.
Students from the Electrical Engineering Program attended the training, which took place in Meeting Room 9502 of the Chalerm Pra Kiat Building at the College of Industrial Technology and Management, RMUTSV Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus (Khanom Area), in Thong Nian Subdistrict, Khanom District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

Mr. Thaweesak Sripunga, Director of the College, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We extend our sincere appreciation to Asefa Public Company Limited for organizing this knowledge-enriching activity, which prepares our students for a comprehensive and professional career as electrical engineers.”He also acknowledged the company for their support in awarding four scholarships, valued at 5,000 Thai Baht each. The recipients-Mr. Ronnachai Jaihao, Mr. Weeraphat Thongsukthae, Mr. Phonlawat Sritweep, and Mr. Sarawut Thongprow, all second-year students in the Electrical Engineering Program-received the funds to cover tuition and educational expenses. These scholarships are specifically granted to students demonstrating excellent conduct and strong commitment to their studies.

He concluded that the collaboration provided a valuable opportunity for Asefa to partner with the College to transfer knowledge, raise awareness regarding “Regulations and Standards for Equipment Installation in Electrical Distribution and Transmission Systems,” and ultimately contribute to the students’ future through scholarships and opportunities.
