The Muslim Student Club of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya organized an Academic and Local Sports Volunteer Project for rural communities from February 10–12, 2024, held at Na Thung Pho Mosque, Khlong Chaloem Subdistrict, Kong Ra District, Phatthalung Province. This initiative was designed to engage students in meaningful community service during their semester break, fostering a spirit of social responsibility, volunteerism, and civic engagement.

The program encompassed a wide range of activities aimed at improving the physical, educational, and mental well-being of local communities. Students participated in cleaning and painting school buildings, enhancing the learning environment for local children and contributing to the overall development of the community. In addition to these service activities, the project also included recreational programs designed to promote positive mental health, teamwork, and interpersonal skills among local students.

A major highlight of the project was the inclusion of traditional sports competitions, which brought together schoolchildren and university students in friendly and engaging physical activities. These events not only encouraged exercise and healthy living but also strengthened social bonds, cultural appreciation, and mutual understanding between the university volunteers and the local youth.

Through this project, the Muslim Student Club successfully combined academic, social, and cultural engagement, providing participants with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, empathy, and community awareness, while also making a lasting impact on the rural community of Phatthalung Province. The program exemplified the university’s commitment to service-learning, holistic student development, and the promotion of well-being and social responsibility in surrounding communities.
