Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya has a policy to promote and support education for students who are diligent, well-behaved, but financially disadvantaged, with the aim of improving their quality of life and reducing the financial burden on their families. On August 2, 2024, the university announced the scholarships for the 2024 academic year and subsequently published the list of recipients. A total of 313 scholarships, each worth 10,000 baht, were awarded, amounting to 3,130,000 baht.
After receiving the scholarships, the supported students can reduce educational inequality to some extent. The scholarships help alleviate their financial burdens, enabling students with limited resources to access education on a more equal footing with others. Moreover, they allow students to focus on their studies without financial concerns, thereby promoting educational equity and contributing to the sustainable improvement of students’ quality of life.
In addition, Faculty of Management Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, has issued an announcement to publicize the availability of scholarships for financially disadvantaged students for the academic year 2024. The Student Development Division of the Faculty has disseminated the information through various communication channels as well as through academic advisors.
After the application period ended, the Faculty appointed a scholarship committee comprising lecturers from all academic programs within the Faculty to evaluate the applicants. The selection process was based on the students’ financial needs and individual suitability. The awarded scholarships provide opportunities for students with financial difficulties to continue their studies at the university, alleviating the financial burden of their parents or guardians regarding educational expenses.
