The Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) organized the “Night Walk” activity to offer a new perspective on learning about nature. The event invited interested participants, including parents and young students, to explore and experience the nocturnal ecosystem firsthand. Held on Tuesday night, July 23, at the Sirindhorn Botanical Garden (Suan Nai Wang) in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, the activity aimed to foster experiential learning through direct observation of nighttime biodiversity. The “Night Walk” encouraged participants to discover the fascinating world of nocturnal species such as insects, owls, frogs, toads, and reptiles, which exhibit unique behaviors after dark. Studying nighttime ecosystems enables participants to understand the interdependence between living organisms and their environment, as well as the adaptation mechanisms essential for survival in nature. This ecological learning experience not only enhances scientific understanding but also helps cultivate environmental consciousness among youth and the general public. Recognizing the interconnectedness of all elements in nature encourages humans to acknowledge their role in maintaining the balance of the planet. Caring for the environment, therefore, is not merely a duty but a collective act of safeguarding life and sustainability. Ultimately, this activity served as more than just a nature walk—it became an opportunity for humans and nature to learn together under the night sky, inspiring participants to “listen to the voice of the forest” and to carry forward a commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable living.
