The Songkhla Municipality held a meeting with a research team from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) to implement the “Air Pollution Early Warning System for Songkhla Smart City” project, funded by the Program Management Unit for Area-Based Development (PMU-A) under the Fiscal Year 2020 research grant. The project aims to develop a real-time air quality monitoring and public alert system to notify residents when particulate matter (PM) or air pollution levels exceed safety standards. The system involves the installation and maintenance of air quality monitoring devices in key areas across Songkhla Municipality to support proactive urban environmental management.
