The Visual Arts Program, Faculty of Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), organized the annual Art Thesis Exhibition 2024 under the theme “T(r)a-Trueng”, symbolizing impressions and memories through art. The exhibition showcased the final thesis works of fourth-year students who have completed their studies through a comprehensive and structured learning process.
The Art Thesis Exhibition 2024: “T(r)a-Trueng” was held from April 19 to May 15, 2024, at the Songkhla Art Gallery, No. 35 Nakhon Nok Road, Songkhla Old Town, organized by the Visual Arts Program, Department of Fine Arts and Design, Faculty of Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), with the opening ceremony presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kwanhathai Jaipiam, Vice President of RUTS.
The event reflected students’ growth in creative skills, artistic expression, and conceptual thinking, emphasizing both individuality and aesthetic refinement. The exhibition also served as an essential step in connecting students’ academic achievements to the public by allowing art enthusiasts and the general audience to experience the beauty and meaning of contemporary visual art.
Moreover, the event contributed to the revitalization of the southern art scene, inspiring cultural appreciation and public engagement with the arts. By transforming the Songkhla Art Gallery into a creative public space, the exhibition promoted inclusivity, cultural identity, and sustainable development through art and design.
The Art Thesis Exhibition 2024: T(r)a-Trueng exemplifies the integration of education, creativity, and cultural heritage in sustainable development. By presenting students’ visual art works to the public, the Faculty of Architecture at RUTS enhances public access to art and design, supports local cultural continuity, and fosters a vibrant, inclusive creative community in southern Thailand.
