The Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva sculpture, exhibited at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV), constitutes a significant ancient artifact that clearly reflects the cultural influence and artistic style of the Srivijaya period. This specific artifact is historically linked to archaeological discoveries in multiple regions, notably the provinces of Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, and Songkhla. Furthermore, the institution facilitates public access to this artifact for educational and scholarly purposes. 
Figure 1.1 presents the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva sculpture, an artifact that is distinctively characteristic of the Srivijaya Kingdom’s artistic style. The exhibition of this ancient object aligns with the university’s nomenclature (Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya), serving to perpetuate the historical, archaeological, and religious heritage of the Srivijaya era among the student body and the broader public, particularly within the southern region where its campuses are situated.

Figure 1.2 displays the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva sculpture situated on the campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla Campus. The sculpture is accompanied by a bilingual information plaque (Thai and English) detailing its value and significance, complete with referenced sources to support academic inquiry. Notably, the base of the sculpture frequently receives offerings, such as the observed red beverages, placed by students and the general public. This practice underscores a living tradition reflective of Intangible Cultural Heritage rooted in local faith and belief. Furthermore, the strategic placement of similar sculptures across all three provincial campuses designates this figure as a dynamic and significant cultural monument, sustained by ongoing acts of veneration and devotion.

Figure 1.3 illustrates the placement of the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva sculpture within the Trang Campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya. This installation functions as a significant monument and serves as a prominent landmark for the campus. Furthermore, the sculpture is widely recognized as a valuable symbol representing the university.

Figure 1.4 shows the Avalokitesvara sculpture awaiting installation in front of the auditorium building at the Khanom campus, which is located in Nakhon Si Thammarat province. This area is situated near the northernmost part of the Srivijaya Kingdom where the university campus is located.
