RUTS upholds a strong policy that supports academic freedom, ensuring that researchers have the autonomy to choose their research areas and the freedom to teach and communicate their scholarly work publicly. This commitment fosters an environment where innovation, critical inquiry, and community-driven research can thrive.
Demonstrating this commitment, RUTS—led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Apirak Songrak, Vice President of the University, together with Asst. Prof. Prapasri Srichai, Director of the Research and Development Institute, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sudkanoong Na Ranong, Deputy Director—organized a capacity-building activity to advance the 2024 Community Innovation Program.
The activity introduced essential tools and learning processes to enhance the capabilities of researchers, including:
Impact Pathway Analysis to review research funding goals and support researchers in achieving expected outcomes, presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Apirak Songrak.
A workshop on synthesizing lessons learned from action research in local communities, led by Asst. Prof. Prapasri Srichai and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sudkanoong Na Ranong.
Integration of ready-to-use innovations and appropriate technologies into the RinMP database, presented by Lecturer Ukrit Chammari, Faculty of Agriculture, RUTS.
Through this initiative, participating researchers gained valuable insights, exchanged perspectives, and engaged in thoughtful discussions. The activity strengthened future work planning, enhanced research strategies, and reinforced RUTS’s ongoing commitment to supporting academic freedom and empowering researchers to create meaningful impact.
