On 6–7 June 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) – Thungyai Campus, in cooperation with the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), conducted a training workshop for farmers participating in the BAAC debt moratorium program. The objective was to revitalize existing occupations, develop supplementary careers, and introduce new income-generating skills for sustainable livelihood improvement.

The training was led by a multidisciplinary team of university lecturers, providing both theoretical and practical sessions to enhance productivity, value creation, and marketing capacity among farmers.

  • Market-Oriented Production and Online Marketing by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nattworadee Kanitinsuttithong and Ms. Manthana Daengphet.
  • Smart Agriculture Technology and Local Wisdom Integration by Mr. Saranphong Nuyimsai and Mr. Satit Buakhao.
  • Coffee and Coffee Product Development by Asst. Prof. Dr. Saowanee Chaiphet and research team from the Faculty of Agro-Industry.

The program provided knowledge transfer and reskilling opportunities for local farmers, focusing on innovation, sustainable resource use, and digital transformation in agriculture. The “Career Revitalization and Skill Development Program” demonstrates how Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya supports local farmers and producers through comprehensive training on modern agriculture, marketing, and value-added innovation. The initiative enhanced farmer resilience, encouraged sustainable production, and fostered collaboration between academia and financial institutions
