On 15 February 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (Khanom Campus) organized a community outreach activity to enhance English communication skills for local entrepreneurs at the Ban Tha Kham Sufficiency Economy Community Enterprise. The activity was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jittima Choopun from the Department of General Education, together with Lecturers Miss Doungporn Somsuk and Mrs. Supacha Kongmuang from the Digital Entrepreneurship Program, Faculty of Business Administration. The training focused on improving participants’ English proficiency for interacting with international tourists and promoting local products effectively. Key learning components included vocabulary and expressions for product introductions, pronunciation techniques for clear communication, and the use of visual aids to support understanding and self-learning. To ensure sustainable learning, the faculty team also delivered printed English communication guides to the community, received by Ms. Kotchaporn Thongnum, Chairperson of the Community Enterprise, to serve as ongoing self-study resources.
Impact Result :
The activity enhanced the English communication skills of local entrepreneurs, empowering them to engage confidently with international visitors and effectively promote their local products. By providing accessible learning materials and practical training, the project strengthened community capacity for tourism-related communication, created opportunities for income generation, and promoted lifelong learning among disadvantaged groups beyond the formal education system.
