Details:
On 1 November 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Saiyai Campus, participated in the “Empowering Communities through Skilled Development Program” (“Tid Peek Chum Chon Duay Thaksa Dee Phrom”) initiated by the Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khwanhathai Jaipiam, Vice President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus, and Mr. Dome Thanomboon, Director of Industrial Promotion Center Region 10. The project aimed to develop community entrepreneurship skills, enabling local people to upgrade and commercialize their community products using creativity, innovation, and local wisdom.
Key Activity:
A short-term hands-on training course on mocktail and cocktail mixing was conducted for community members and aspiring entrepreneurs. The training was delivered by:
- Mr. Suchart Upanan
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Saowanee Chaiphet
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Sasinee Thongnok
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanikan Thorsin from the Faculty of Agro-Industry, RUTS.
The program aimed to:
- Strengthen entrepreneurial and product development skills among community members.
- Promote value addition to community products.
- Foster local business innovation through creativity and practical training.
- Support community enterprises to generate income and expand opportunities in nearby provinces, including Narathiwat.

Students from the Smart Agriculture Program at RUTS participated in a knowledge exchange activity on agricultural drone technology aimed at enhancing their practical skills and technological understanding in modern farming systems.
The activity provided students with hands-on learning experiences, including the operation, application, and maintenance of drones used for agricultural purposes such as spraying, monitoring crop growth, and collecting field data. Through this exchange, students gained a deeper understanding of precision agriculture and the role of technology in improving productivity, reducing labor, and supporting sustainable farming practices.
