On 27 November 2024, Rattaphum College, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), organized activities under the project “Enhancing Education and Local Development through University Mentorship.” The event was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Arisa Sophacharn, Deputy Director for Academic and Research Affairs, on behalf of Dr. Thamolchanok Kongkhwan, Director of Rattaphum College, with Asst. Prof. Amarin Santiniyomphakdee serving as the project coordinator. The project aimed to strengthen educational quality by integrating innovative learning management and lifelong learning practices between RUTS and local schools, while promoting local development through university mentorship. The initiative fostered collaboration among Rattaphum College, local agencies, community leaders, teachers, and village experts to co-create learning activities and share knowledge relevant to community needs. Key activities included developing learning resources on local food security and safety, as well as designing educational innovations tailored to local contexts.
Impact Result (Summary):
 The project enhanced teaching quality and community-based learning practices through collaboration between the university and local schools, enabling educators and community members to jointly develop educational innovations that address local issues. By linking higher education with local knowledge systems, the initiative promoted lifelong learning, strengthened local problem-solving capacity, and advanced equitable access to quality education—reflecting RUTS’s role in fostering inclusive teaching and sustainable community development in line with SDG 4.
