On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Trang Campus, held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Kraungthai Foods Public Company Limited. The ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Kosin Pattanamanee, Vice President for Trang Campus. The MOU was signed by Asst. Prof. Kittikon Khanklaew, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, representing the President of RUTS, and Mrs. Pawita Tothapthieng, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board and Director of Corporate Communications, representing Kraungthai Foods Public Company Limited. Witnesses included Asst. Prof. Nares Khwanthong, Deputy Dean for Administration and Planning; Asst. Prof. Pasana Aekudompong, Deputy Dean for Academic and Research Affairs; Ms. Jureerat Chongrakwit, Environmental Control Manager; and Mr. Athirith Techasinniwat, Corporate Communications Manager.
This MOU aims to promote academic and research collaboration, student development, and knowledge integration through shared expertise, technical consultation, and academic resource cooperation between RUTS Trang Campus and Kraungthai Foods Public Company Limited. The collaboration focuses on enhancing teaching and learning, fostering innovation, and producing graduates equipped with practical and professional competencies. The agreement will remain in effect for five years. As part of the partnership, Kraungthai Foods Public Company Limited also provided research funding for two student groups conducting projects on industrial ash valorization to create value for both the organization and society. The event took place at the Technology Conference Room, 2nd Floor, 60th Anniversary Building, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, RUTS Trang Campus.
