On April 24, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Trang Campus, organized a hands-on training workshop on “Fundamentals of Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Systems.” The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Kittikon Khanklaew, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, at Room 203, 60th Anniversary Building, Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ technological competencies in line with modern innovations and national technology advancement policies. The sessions were conducted by Asst. Prof. Nares Khwanthong, Deputy Dean for Administration and Planning, and Mr. Sayamon Phutthamongkol, Lecturer in Engineering. They provided foundational knowledge of IoT and cloud technologies, emphasizing their applications in improving daily life, innovation, and connectivity. Participants learned how to analyze and design IoT-based innovations, using case studies to develop practical projects that integrate modern technology into education and real-world problem solving. Projects presented during the workshop included a real-time weather monitoring system, an intelligent plant irrigation system, and an automatic classroom ventilation system—all designed to promote energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. The program was conducted under academic collaboration with Satree Trang School, Sikao Prachaphadungwit School, and Trang Christian School, aiming to equip teachers and educators with a proper understanding of IoT and cloud system fundamentals. The workshop also supported upskilling and knowledge transfer for teachers in computer engineering and related fields. The three-day workshop, held from April 24–26, 2024, provided a foundation for applying IoT and cloud-based innovation in both educational development and practical engineering applications at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, RUTS Trang Campus.
