On May. 30, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Trang Campus, led by Asst. Prof. Kittikon Khanklaew, Dean of the Faculty, together with administrators, faculty members, and students, warmly welcomed Prof. Emeritus Dr. Piamsak Menasavet, President of the University Council of RUTS, along with members of the University Council and the university’s executive team headed by Prof. Dr. Suwat Thanyaros, President of RUTS, and Asst. Prof. Kosin Pattanamanee, Vice President for Trang Campus. During the visit, the Faculty organized an exhibition presenting research and innovation projects that highlighted the faculty’s academic and technological contributions. Featured projects included a Water Management System using Salinity Forecasting Models for agricultural planning in the Songkhla Lake Basin to support climate change adaptation, presented by Asst. Prof. Nares Khwanthong and Mr. Sayamon Phutthamongkol; a Smart Farm for Education, presented by Mr. Phumin Inpan, Lecturer in Computer and Communication Engineering; and a Wind Energy Harvesting System from Moving Vehicles using small vertical-axis wind turbines designed to enhance road safety and renewable power generation, presented by Mr. Sarawut Phasaphanthong, Lecturer in Electrical Engineering. The exhibition drew great interest from the University Council, university executives, and attendees, who engaged in discussions and exchanged insights on the presented innovations. In the afternoon, the Council and university executives toured the faculty’s teaching and learning facilities, including classrooms and meeting rooms located in the 60th Anniversary Building at RUTS Trang Campus, Sikao District, Trang Province.
