Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, RUTS — “IED Open House 2024”
On August 28, 2024, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), organized the “IED Open House 2024” at Chuphan Conference Room, Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, RUTS Songkhla Campus. The event was presided over by Asst.Prof.Piya Prasongchan, Vice President of RUTS, who delivered the opening speech. Asst.Prof.Chaiya Tanaphatsiri, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, gave the report on the project objectives. The event was attended by more than 400 participants, including administrators, faculty members, staff, students, and high school and vocational students from educational institutions across Southern Thailand. The IED Open House 2024 aimed to promote and provide academic guidance for high school and vocational students, enhance educational collaboration, and strengthen networks between institutions.The project also encouraged students to explore career paths in industrial education and technology, helping them make informed decisions about future studies. Additionally, the program aimed to foster understanding of fundamental skills related to various academic programs offered by the faculty.Activities and Highlights The event featured a variety of academic competitions and hands-on activities, including:Small-scale mobile robot control system design and assembly competition, Precision measurement skill competition, Electrical conduit wiring challenge, Printed circuit board (PCB) design contest,Moreover, several interactive learning stations were set up to allow participants to engage in creative and practical skill demonstrations. These activities helped students gain direct experience in industrial technology and vocational innovation.
