Handover of the “Dual-Option Clean Energy Sago Drying Facility” at Ban Phi Kai Sago Production Community Enterprise, Chai Buri Subdistrict, Phatthalung Province The project was implemented through a collaboration between the Phatthalung Provincial Industry Office, the Chai Buri Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and the Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS). The initiative aims to enhance the community’s production process using clean energy innovations that promote both environmental sustainability and local economic growth.

The Dual-Option Clean Energy Sago Drying Facility was designed to operate using solar energy and alternative electricity, allowing continuous drying operations even during unfavorable weather conditions. This system significantly reduces reliance on fossil fuels, lowers greenhouse gas emissions, and decreases long-term production costs. Moreover, it ensures consistent temperature and humidity control, producing high-quality, clean, and naturally fragrant sago that meets commercial-grade standards.

Beyond energy efficiency and product quality improvement, this facility serves as a model of green technology application for sustainable community-based economic development. It enables local enterprises to add value to their products, increase member income, and serve as a learning hub for clean energy and food processing innovations for neighboring communities.

This project exemplifies the power of collaboration between government agencies, academic institutions, and local communities in advancing the vision of a “Green Economy for Strong Communities and Sustainable Environment.”
