Details:
Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), through the Faculty of Agriculture, initiated an applied research and innovation activity by introducing 3,000 broiler chickens into its newly developed smart poultry house. This initiative aims to enhance animal production efficiency, biosecurity, and sustainable livestock management through advanced agricultural technology.
The smart poultry house uses an Internet of Things (IoT)-based control system that automatically manages:
- Feeding and watering systems
- Temperature and humidity levels
- Light intensity and environmental monitoring
- Real-time adjustment of conditions for optimal growth
This project is a collaborative effort between the Animal Science Program and the Smart Agriculture Program, focusing on the integration of precision livestock farming technologies.
