In the 2024 academic year, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) had a total of 15,435 students, reflecting the university’s growth and its commitment to developing a skilled workforce for the labor market.
A key initiative at the university is the internship program, which provides students with hands-on experience in real work environments. Through internships, students gain practical work experience, learn to collaborate in teams, develop professional skills, and adapt to real workplace conditions.
For the 2024 academic year, student participation in internships by semester was as follows:
- Semester 1/2024: 35 students
- Semester 2/2024: 702 students
- Semester 3/2024: 1,149 students
Internships cover a wide range of fields, including engineering, technology, architecture, business, and fine arts, with the university collaborating with both public and private sector organizations to ensure students gain diverse experiences aligned with their interests and skills.
University leadership emphasizes that the internship program is a crucial part of preparing students with the skills and competencies needed by the labor market. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of students during their internships also enable the university to improve curricula and teaching methods to keep pace with changes in the working world.
RUTS continues to support students with knowledge, skills, and internship opportunities, ensuring that all graduates are professionally prepared to enter the workforce.
