Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) reinforces its commitment to SDG 1: No Poverty through innovative teaching and learning strategies that expand educational opportunities for all, particularly students from low-income and working-class backgrounds. The implementation of the Credit Transfer and Credit Banking System allows learners to accumulate academic credits from multiple forms of education—formal, non-formal, and workplace training—thereby promoting flexible learning pathways and inclusive access to higher education. Through this system, RMUTSV empowers students who may face financial or time constraints to continue their education without interruption. Learners can study while working, transfer prior learning experiences, and achieve academic qualifications at their own pace. Faculty members play a key role by integrating experiential learning, competency-based education, and work-integrated learning (WIL) into their curricula to ensure that teaching responds directly to real-world labor market needs. This initiative supports SDG Target 1.3.4, by providing educational mechanisms that help students from low-income families successfully complete their studies. It also contributes to building long-term employability, self-reliance, and upward mobility—empowering graduates to break the cycle of poverty through education.

In essence, RMUTSV’s teaching and learning practices reflect a transformative approach to education—one that not only transfers knowledge but also creates meaningful opportunities for learners to achieve sustainable livelihoods and social advancement.
