Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) has embedded the principles of SDG 1: No Poverty into its institutional policy and operational framework to ensure that education directly contributes to poverty reduction and inclusive economic growth. The university’s participation in the national collaboration on labor skill development, credit transfer, and the credit banking system reflects a strategic policy direction aimed at supporting lifelong learning, equitable access to education, and workforce empowerment. Through this policy-driven initiative, RMUTSV works in partnership with the Department of Skill Development, educational institutions, and the private sector to establish a nationwide framework for skill recognition and academic mobility. The university’s operational structure integrates flexible learning policies, inclusive admission pathways, and financial support mechanisms that enable individuals from low-income backgrounds to advance their education while maintaining employment. Institutionally, RMUTSV aligns its operations with evidence-based management, ensuring that all programs and collaborations contribute to the university’s Sustainable Development Action Plan. The university’s administrative units coordinate resources, monitor impact, and promote the integration of SDGs into academic and community practices—making sustainability an operational norm rather than an isolated project. This comprehensive approach supports SDG Target 1.4.4, emphasizing the university’s participation in national policy frameworks that promote poverty reduction and inclusive growth. By aligning governance, partnerships, and educational operations with social impact goals, RMUTSV demonstrates how a university can act as a policy catalyst for equitable development, ensuring that education remains a key driver in eliminating poverty.
