Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya has established a policy granting public access to the natural heritage landscape area located on the beachfront under university ownership. This area holds significant cultural importance and is designated as a conservation zone, regulated by the municipality. The university facilitates the use of this coastal space, allowing organizations, the public, agencies, and network partners to host legally permissible activities during festivals, as well as for daily recreational purposes by the local population. Nevertheless, recognizing the beach as an ecologically sensitive area, the university continuously collaborates with the municipality and various relevant agencies to supervise and maintain the beach landscape, ensuring its sustained aesthetic and ecological integrity.

The Seamila Sandwalk is a festival that integrates music, arts, and community economic development, featuring food sales and local handicraft products from communities surrounding the university. It is held on the beach area of Samila Beach, Songkhla Province, which falls within the university’s jurisdiction. This initiative is categorized as a “Marine Tourism Festival” and an “Eco-Tourism Exposition,” encompassing a variety of activities. These include exhibitions and workshops on beach conservation, commercial vendor stalls, student performances, and academic seminars. All activities are systematically executed in collaboration with government agencies, local communities, and environmental conservationists.
