On December 1, 2024, members of the Muslim Student Club of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), together with their advisors, Asst. Prof. Suhaidee Sani and Mr. Sampoodeang Meena, organized a community kitchen project to assist residents affected by severe flooding in Thepha District, Songkhla Province.

The initiative took place in front of the Muslim Student Club office at RUTS, where students and advisors worked collaboratively to prepare 300 meal boxes along with bottled water for distribution to flood victims in the affected areas. The activity aimed not only to address the immediate needs of those impacted by the disaster but also to foster a sense of unity, compassion, and community responsibility among students.

Beyond providing food and essential supplies, the student volunteers also offered emotional and moral support to the affected residents, spending time with families and helping to lift their spirits during this difficult period.

This humanitarian effort reflects RUTS’s ongoing commitment to social engagement and community service, encouraging students to apply the university’s core values of empathy, volunteerism, and leadership in real-world contexts. The project also strengthened collaboration between the university and local communities, reinforcing the vital role of educational institutions in promoting social responsibility and sustainable community development.
