Rattaphum College, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, has developed the RPC Smart Farm Learning Base as a living classroom to integrate academic learning with real-world agricultural practice. Under the leadership of Dr. Prayoomart Suyabangdam, the project provides students with opportunities to engage in hands-on learning alongside farmers and community members. The Smart Farm serves as a dynamic teaching environment where learners can apply theoretical knowledge in areas such as agricultural technology, innovation management, and sustainable farming through IoT systems and precision agriculture tools.
This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to Teaching and Learning excellence by fostering active, experiential, and community-based education. Students gain practical experience in research application, problem-solving, and technology transfer, preparing them to become future innovators and socially responsible professionals. At the same time, the project encourages mutual learning between academia and the community—bridging classroom theory with local agricultural realities. Through the RPC Smart Farm, Rattaphum College exemplifies how higher education can cultivate both academic competence and social engagement, promoting sustainable development and lifelong learning.
