In 2024, RUTS collaborates with University in Malaysia as Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia to focus on how universities can collaborate and review action to build best practice to relate to SDG 1 to 17. For instance, during 13-17 May 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr Thanwit Neamsai , RUTS Lecturer in Engineering as Engineering leader Camp, together with 4 RUTS lecturers in Engineering and 30 RUTS Engineering students did participated the RUTS & UniMAP International Engineering Camp 2024. The opening ceremony was hosted and welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Siti Khadijah Zaa’ba ,Dean of Faculty of Electronic Engineering & Technology. Duration of the programme was for a 5-days period and Thirty five of RUTS participants and Thirty- five of UniMAP participants did participate the programme. The programme focused on three activities including academic workshop, cross-cultural performance exchange and sport activities. For academic workshop perspective, this programme focused on learning and practical skills, especially Microbit/Siemens PLC. For Cultural activities, this programme focused on Thai-Malaysian Tradition Dance & Costumes, Thai-Malysian Marterial Arts & Tanjak as well as Thai-Malaysian Traditional Song. For sport activities, this programme focused on Woodball and Football playing. In conclusion, the RUTS & UniMAP Engineering Camp 2024 had a significant impact on participants by enhancing SDG-oriented engineering competencies, cross-cultural collaboration, and innovation. Students demonstrated improved problem-solving abilities and consciously applied SDG principles including SDG 6, 7, 9 and 12 in project design, particularly in clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, and resource management. Furthermore, the camp strengthened academic collaboration between Thailand and Malaysia, providing a foundation for future joint initiatives and sustainable curriculum development. This study underscores the value of experiential, international learning programs in preparing engineers capable of addressing global sustainability challenges while fostering socially responsible. In addition, on 16th May 2024, Prof. Dr Suwat Tanyaros, the President, RUTS representatives and Prof.Dato.Ts.Dr Znliman Sauli, the Vice Chancellor did preside over the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between RUTS and UniMAP for Partnership for the Goals.

Moreover, On 25th May 2024, Dr.Lamun Kayurin Assistant to President (International Affairs) as the representative of RUTS President and Asst.Prof.Dr Thanwit Naemsai, Assistant Dean Faculty of Engineering, did lead 15 students to join JOM MASUK U 2024. The JMU 2024 Programme did provide a platform for students to explore the vast educational opportunities available in Malaysia and futher our academic collaboration between RUTS and UniMAP. During the event Dr.Lamun Kayurin did participate in the opening ceremony and representatives students have great chances in exploring of opportunities for postgraduate studies. As a result, this programme has strengthened academic collaboration for Partnership for the Goals.
