RUTS has designed various courses on sustainability to teach students for adopting sustainability in their lives. It has focused on Education for SDGs: specific courses on sustainability, RUTS has dedicated courses for Undergraduates degree that address sustainability and the SDGs. Especially, Business Administration Programme in Management of Faculty of Business and Administration has integrated SDGs into Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation course. This course focuses on developing student’s entrepreneurial mindset and practical skills in new ventures which contribute to sustainable development. Students learn how to identify opportunities, design business models, and launch innovative startups that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Emphasis is placed on responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship to support economic growth, innovation and community well-being.

In 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) collaborated with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia, to organise the International Entrepreneurship Camp 2024 from 15th –18th August 2024. The camp aimed to enhance entrepreneurial learning through intercultural collaboration and experiential engagement. The programme featured four core activities as follows: 1) Academic Workshop: Participants gained practical knowledge in new venture creation , business model innovation (linked to SDG 8 &9), sustainable product and service design (linked to SDG12 &13), financing and pitching new ventures, social entrepreneurship and inclusive business (linked to SDG 10 & 11) as well as ethical and responsible management (linked to SDG 16). 2) Site Visits to Local Entrepreneurs: RUTS & UTP participants visited successful local businesses in Thailand to learn real-world strategies for sustainability, innovation, and community impact. 3) Cultural Exchange Performance: Students showcased traditional and modern cultural performances to promote mutual understanding, global citizenship, and international networking. 4) Sports Activities: Recreational games fostered teamwork, leadership, and cross-cultural friendship among participants.

In conclusion, the impact of the International Entrepreneurship camp 2024 illustrated large improvements in practical skills (business modelling, pitching, market validation), soft skills (cross-cultural teamwork, communication), and intent to pursue entrepreneurial careers. Several teams progressed to prototype testing with local partners; faculty reported new teaching materials and candidate projects for service-learning modules. Challenges included uneven access to follow-on funding and limited continuity between annual cohorts. Recommendations: (1) create a seed microgrant scheme, (2) integrate camp outputs into credit-bearing courses, and (3) establish a bi-annual alumni incubator to sustain momentum and measure longitudinal outcomes.
