Asst. Prof. Dr. Tachaya Sangkakool, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research, represented the Faculty of Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), at the opening ceremony of the project “Study of Tourist Carrying Capacity and Development of a Management System toward a Model of a Sustainable Tourism Ecosystem
for the Songkhla Lake Basin.”

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Amnuay Pinsuwan, Deputy Governor of Songkhla, with attendees including Mr. Somkiat Amnuaysuwan, Deputy Manager of the Designated
Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA) Songkhla Lake Basin, Asst. Prof.
Dr. Apirak Songrak, Vice President of RUTS, Mr. Rangsee Rattanaprakan, President of
the Songkhla Lovers Association, and Ms. Lekha Suwanchatree, Songkhla Provincial Cultural Officer, alongside representatives from public and private sectors and community networks.

The program also featured a panel discussion with Dr. Jaray Suwannachart on tourist carrying capacity, live demonstrations of culinary and craft wisdom, and an exhibition on Songkhla’s pathway toward becoming a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. The event took place at the Red Mill (Hub Ho Hin), Nakhon Nok Road, Boyang Subdistrict, Mueang Songkhla District, Songkhla Province.
