Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) is dedicated to promoting gender equality across its academic programs. A notable example is the Marine Engineering program in the Faculty of Engineering, which actively encourages female participation alongside male students.
The program’s inclusive curriculum integrates both theoretical and practical learning, equipping students with the skills needed for success in the traditionally male-dominated marine engineering industry. This approach fosters a learning environment that values diversity and equal opportunity.
Currently, ten female students are enrolled in the program, reflecting meaningful progress in reducing the gender gap in engineering. To further support their growth, the university provides mentorship programs, workshops, and networking opportunities tailored specifically for female students.
Through these efforts, RUTS not only enhances the academic and professional development of women but also promotes greater gender balance and inclusivity within engineering and related fields.
