In 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) in Thailand collaborated with Universities Partnership for the goals of sustainable development around research relating to SDG 1 to 17. For instance, RUTS researcher including Asst. Prof. Dr. Kosin Deepraksaphan and Dr. Nutcharee Tipmonta (Faculty of Liberal Arts), together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Apichai Pholchai (Faculty of Science) developed an innovative Indole-3-carbinol test kit to evaluate the quality of dietary supplement products. Asst. Prof. Dr. Kosin Deepraksaphan did participate in the WorldInvent Singapore 2024 (WoSG). An International invention and innovation competition held from July 9-11, 2024 at the Singapore Expo, Republic of Singapore. This invention did receive International recognition at WorldInvent Singapore 2024 (WoSG), earning the Gold Medal, Silver Medal , and NRCT Honorable Mention Award. The research demonstrates significant impact in education, industry , and sustainable development, aligned with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Firstly, SDG 4: Quality Education perspective, the test kit can be applied in health science and food chemistry teaching, providing practical laboratory experience and enhancing analytical skills. Secondly, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being perspective, By ensuring the quality and safety of dietary supplements and the innovation contribute to better public health and nutrition. Thirdly, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth perspective, it supports entrepreneur and industries in producing high-quality, internationally recognised product, promoting innovation and sustainable economic development. Fourthly, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure perspective, it highlights RUTS’s capability in developing innovative technologies that meet international standards. Finally, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production perspective, it helps ensure safe and sustainable product of dietary supplements, promoting responsible consumption practices. As a result, this innovation reflects RUTS’ commitment to scientific excellence, international recognition, and sustainable societal impact.
