Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya has established sports fields and facilities within the university, which not only benefit students and staff but also serve the surrounding community. The university provides various types of sports venues, including football fields, basketball and volleyball courts, and open sports areas. These facilities are designed to accommodate both competitions and exercise activities, promoting physical fitness and teamwork.
The university also opens its sports facilities to the local community to encourage participation in sports activities, foster a sense of belonging, and promote healthy lifestyles among residents. Furthermore, the university collaborates with local schools, sports clubs, and health organizations to enhance community engagement and implement systematic programs for both youth and adults.
The provision of sports fields and gymnasiums reinforces the university’s commitment to promoting health, well-being, and community involvement. As a center for exercise and recreation, these facilities help improve the quality of life for students, staff, and local residents, fostering an active and vibrant community.
Throughout the year, both internal university departments and external organizations utilize these sports facilities.
For example, the 16th Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya Games were held from August 4–10, 2024, hosted by the Faculty of Business Administration.
On January 6, 13, and 20, 2024, and February 17, 2024, the university provided its football field for use by the Maha Vajiravudh School Alumni Association (Class of 1993 “Suriya Song Fah”), to organize football matches that serve as a bridge between current students and alumni.
On April 5–6, 2024, the university also provided its football field for North Bangkok University to practice for participation in the Thai League 3 “Rung Arun” football competition.
Additionally, the Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya Alumni Association organized the 10th Alumni Football Legends Tournament on January 27, 2024, at the university football field in Songkhla Province. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Supit Phithaktham, Advisor to the Alumni Association, together with the Executive Committee of the Association.
