Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) organized the RUTS Walk and Run 2024, a charity walking and running event in honor of the 72nd birthday of His Majesty the King. The event took place on July 14, 2024, starting at 6:30 a.m. and was held simultaneously across all campuses, including Songkhla Campus, Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus, and Trang Campus.

Funds raised from the sale of event t-shirts and participant contributions were directed to scholarships for RUTS students who demonstrate academic excellence, good conduct, and other suitable criteria, providing students with greater educational opportunities and a bright future. The event also aligns with the policy of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, promoting community engagement, organizational participation, and positive interaction with the public.

At Songkhla Campus, the event was held at the Hat Yai Municipal Park, while Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus (Saiyai area) and Trang Campus held activities within their university grounds. The events were attended by university executives, faculty, staff, students, and members of the public across all locations.he RUTS Walk and Run 2024 generated significant positive outcomes both within the university and the broader community. The event successfully promoted unity and engagement among university executives, faculty, staff, students, and the public through shared participation across all campuses. Also Strengthened community relations by fostering collaboration between RUTS and local communities, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation’s policy on social engagement. Moreover, Supported student development through scholarship funds raised, which help outstanding students with good conduct continue their education.

Overall, the event enhanced the university’s image as a socially responsible and community-oriented institution.
