Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) emphasizes equal access to education through its comprehensive scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to students during their studies. This initiative is a key part of the university’s Teaching and Learning strategy, designed to ensure that all students—especially those from low-income families—can pursue higher education without financial obstacles. The scholarship program helps reduce educational inequality by covering tuition fees and, in some cases, living expenses, thereby enabling students to focus fully on their academic and professional development. By integrating financial support with learning opportunities, RMUTSV creates an inclusive learning environment that promotes educational continuity, motivation, and success among all learners.
This initiative directly contributes to SDG 1: No Poverty, addressing SDG 1.3.1–1.3.5. It supports equitable admission policies for students from the lowest income groups (1.3.1), promotes graduation success for disadvantaged students (1.3.2), provides financial and institutional support for learners to complete their education (1.3.3 and 1.3.4), and establishes scholarships or grants for students from low- and middle-income backgrounds (1.3.5). Through these efforts, RMUTSV demonstrates its strong commitment to inclusive education and social equity, ensuring that financial limitations do not hinder academic achievement. The scholarship policy thus reflects the university’s mission to cultivate capable graduates who can contribute to sustainable development while reinforcing its role as a learning institution that uplifts communities through education and opportunity.
