Rattaphum College, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, has launched the RPC Smart Farm Learning Base to promote knowledge sharing and strengthen engagement between the university and local communities. Led by Dr. Prayoomart Suyabangdam, the initiative aims to open access to modern agricultural knowledge and innovations, allowing farmers and interested individuals to learn about smart farming technologies, including IoT-based cultivation, sustainable production systems, and precision agriculture. Through on-site demonstrations and participatory learning, the project enables the community to gain practical skills that can be applied to real agricultural practices.

This initiative exemplifies Outreach and Engagement by extending the university’s expertise beyond the classroom to create tangible community impact. The program enhances the capability of local farmers to adapt to technological change, improve productivity, and develop sustainable livelihoods. Moreover, it fosters long-term collaboration between academia, local authorities, and farmers, ensuring that research and innovation are utilized for community well-being. By linking knowledge, innovation, and social responsibility, Rattaphum College reinforces its role as a driver of regional development and as a bridge connecting higher education with community empowerment.
